My Journey

I started EverKnock because buying a home is one of life's most stressful events, one I was all too familiar with and had the scars to prove it. Like most first-time founders, I was passionate about our mission but had little to no idea of the challenges involved in building a company from scratch.

We built, experimented, tore down and built again. We helped many navigate what is widely seen as one of life's most stressful events, with empathy. We raised some money. We made some money. We created something, from nothing more than an idea that existed in our heads. We met some of the best people in the UK startup ecosystem. And some of the worst. We did everything a startup is meant to do, and a lot of stuff we shouldn't have. We had some wins; we made some mistakes...lots of mistakes. We pitched. We sold. We pivoted. We grew. The journey taught me more than any business school could. From validating the market and finding our first customers, to raising capital and building a team, I experienced firsthand all the challenges that early-stage founders face. Some lessons came easy, but most came hard.

Now, through Fractional Founders, I'm using that experience to help other founders navigate these same challenges more effectively. I've been in your shoes. I know what it's like to wake up at 3am worrying about runway, or to have a pitch fall flat with an investor. That firsthand experience makes all the difference.
